"But why unionize with a bunch of firefighters?"

MPFF & IAFF also represent many EMS departments as well as Dispatchers.

Not to mention, in the last ten years a lot of fire services have also grown into EMS departments. On average, over 75% of our nation's Fire Service calls are medicals.

"What is in it for us?"

You've put your time in, you stay out of trouble, and your pay isn't too bad.

So, what is the point? What can the union do for us?

Have MPFF & IAFF been successful when it comes to helping EMS departments unionize?

Yes! Many times when organizing EMS departments, they have a 100% "yes" vote at the polls!

Who else is MPFF in Minnesota?

One of the best parts of this unionization with MPFF & IAFF would be sharing a union with our neighboring PSA departments!

But it seems like North wants me to think this is bad ...

How do you know who to believe when you are getting contradicting emails? Most of the supervisors are saying "We don't care what you guys do!" but the emails are saying we should vote no. What is going on and can I get in trouble?

Together we are stronger.

Together we are louder.

Together we are better.

This organizing movement is a path to move us forward together. We are working on this daily for us, this work is being done by us, and the future of North EMS will belong to us.
